Wanna Laugh? Come enjoy a hilarious comical play or a side splitting improv show for less than the price of a movie ticket. All shows are family friendly.

The Off Broadway Theatre (OBT) is Salt Lake City’s downtown hot spot for comedy. Since 1994, the family-friendly OBT has presented such hilarious, original musical parodies as The Wicked Wizard of Ahhhs, Robin Hood: Boyz in the Hood, Henry Botter, Y-Light, and more, along with occasional productions of comedy classics like Little Shop of Horrors and Pirates of Penzance.

You may use these vouchers for any production from now until the end of December 2012. Read hilarious descriptions of our shows below:

Gleek School Musical
Feb. 10th - March 10th, 2012
Welcome back to high school with this fun-filled OBT parody that combines elements of the popular television hit Glee and the classic (?) High School Musical movie series. This production features great singing and dancing, fantastic basketball special effects, as well as Hamlet, The Musical done in two minutes and fifty-three seconds. It's a sure-fire comedy that teens and tweens will absolutely love, and so will the teenager inside of you parents and grandparents.

The Adventures of Sheer-Luck Homes and Snotson
Mar. 30th - April 28th, 2012
This hilarious Sherlock Holmes send up was performed here at the Off Broadway Theatre a few years ago, and it has been a definite actor favorite. This parody pits the wise cracking Sheer-Luck Homes against his arch nemesis Gory-hearty. Sheer-Luck along with his bumbling side-kick Snotson must solve the mystery of a killer who literally scares his victims to death. Is he up to the challenge? The game's afoot.

Greece Is the Word
May 18th -June 16th, 2012
The fifties are back at the Off Broadway Theatre.
Literally—the year 50 A.D.—in ancient Greece. However the teens who attend an ancient Greek Philosophy High School behave just like normal teens doing what all typical teens do. They perform school plays (Greek tragedies), drag race (albeit with their chariots—two horsepower), and wear togas to the Smock Hop in the gym-natorium. An inventive and side-splitting comedy that you'll become hopelessly devoted to.

Zion Theatre Company
July – September, 2012
This year we are thrilled to be doing something unique and very exciting. This summer The Off Broadway Theatre will be hosting 3 productions from Zion Theater Company. These have been so popular in Utah County that we have brought them up north, so that Salt Lake County residents can enjoy and be entertained by these excellent and thought provoking productions. These performances are not included in your season passes so make reservations early. It should be a very busy summer.

"Y" Light
Sept. 28th - Oct 29th, 2012
Back by popular demand, this OBT Halloween parody explores what life would be like for Mormon Vampires down at B"Y"U, and how they would relate to their arch enemy Ute Indian tribe werewolf counter parts from the "U". Poor Ella has moved to American Forks and is caught up in this love triangle, until the original vampire, Count Dracula arrives on the scene and wants Ella for his own. This musical parody will leave you rolling in the aisles.

Off White Christmas
Nov. 23rd -Dec. 28th, 2012
Another new Christmas comedy here at the Off Broadway spoofs the Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye musical White Christmas, but ours is just a little "Off". This comedy is sure to have laughs as the main characters dress as women to get out of some sticky predicaments, and also sing and tap dance their way to fame and fortune. There may even be a Christmas Miracle or two. Be sure not to miss out on this fun filled comedy. It's sure to be an OBT classic.
